Winter Warmth.

Snow tickles the window as it floats down to the earth below

It sparks a soft giggle and a warm smile upon my face

It stirs a childlike joy through my fingers and toes

My spirits jolt with vibrance at the sight

My heart tugs at me at the thought of cold air washing over me

A cold that excites and awakens

A satisfying crunch echoes with each step onto the untouched white

Skin flushed red to bring warmth, but the cold lingers

Like an old friend

Trees speckled with white like the buds of pussy willows in spring

Beams from the sun making the world shimmer

Mother Nature, showing off her radiance with such pride

In this moment, surrounded by this cold blanket of winter,

I found within me an invincible summer
